Around 2010, I created an awful event in Northern Maine, called the Aroostook DIrty Thirty. It involved mudding, bushwhacking, lifting heavy things, doing calisthenics, and performing other dastardly tasks whilst running 30 miles. It was grassroots, hilarious, and incredibly difficult…with the underlying theme that if you WANTED it, you could finish.
Somewhere in the promotion of this event, I invented a character named Cleetus. I did not know it at the time… but in creating Cleetus, I would be laying out the future of my personal training career. Low frills, dirty, unrefined, and most importantly, FUN.
#cleetusfit workouts are always outdoors, with non-traditional implements. They focus on aerobic capacity, agility, brute strength, and mental tenacity! These workouts are by request- I’d never subject anyone to Cleetus without consent! Haha!
